📢 IMPORTANT COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT – WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Selkirk Swimming Pool, Fitness Centre and Caravan Park are at risk of closure unless our community comes together to protect them. These facilities are vital to our town’s wellbeing, fitness, tourism and families, we cannot afford to lose them.

A Steering Group is being formed to explore ways to save, protect and enhance these key assets, and we need local voices, skills and ideas to move this forward. Whatever you can offer time, experience, suggestions or simply enthusiasm, it all counts

🏃‍♂️This Sunday! Come to Lilliesleaf and join in the fun. The Leaf 10k is an annual community celebration and it’s the 10th anniversary- come and walk or run around the beautiful Riddell Estate.

🏃‍♂️Runners can register online through entrycentral or on the day from 10am in the village hall. (Race starts at 11am). We have a lot of competitive entrants but don’t let that put you off!

🚶‍♂️Walkers - just turn up on the Leaf Green to start at 10am. (No need to register)

🦮Dogs on leads are welcome.

🍰 Afterwards come and have homemade soup, bread and cakes (if you bake please bring a cake!) and the medal ceremony will be at approx 1.15pm

🔨Our very own Cllr Leagh Douglas Selkirkshire is busy getting the podium ready😊 Thanks to Travis Perkins for donating the supplies

What a great visit to Selkirk Community Recycling Centre with family recently! We had booked in a trailer of waste materials, and Eck could not have been more helpful. Expertly guiding us, chatting away, and sharing loads of interesting insights about what happens to the waste once it leaves the site.

Eck was cheerful, patient, and clearly takes real pride in his work.
