Our twin dwelling project at Edington Mill, set adjacent a former listed oat mill + at the base of a former sandstone quarry in with the whiteadder water passing the edge of the site. Each property was set to follow the natural flow of the quarry + angled to enjoy independent outlooks over the valley, catching glimpses of the water as it passes. Finished with larch lined walls, mixed steel roofing + clean glazing the simple palette is designed to blend with its natural surroundings

Our Bowden project has just been submitted in conjunction with Ethical Planning, conserving an original small traditional steading building with a low impact lower level introduced, inset into the existing bank with mixed traditional finishes retaining an agricultural aesthetic to the public view, internally an open plan flowing space creates a comfortable family home

Architect/Architectural Technologist/Technician Vacancy

We are looking for someone to join our team, based in the Borders, on a permanent full time basis.

Any applicant should have a minimum of 4 years experience in domestic architectural projects, be driven + able to work as an active part of a team. The projects you will work on will be varied + exciting with detailing + quality paramount.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for someone to develop + grow their knowledge within a design led practice.

Salary will be dependent on experience + qualifications, including pension.

Skills should include:
Autocad (essential)
3D visualisation (desirable)

Thermal bridging is always a fixation on new buildings but if not assessed correctly both with new build + upgrades to existing buildings serious issues can be created, from black mould to structural issues.
We now have the ability in-house to assess the thermal performance of a building + in turn then monitor the affects our interventions make long term.
