Today I’ve been going back through the tropical bed weeding and cutting back, managing to get another heaped barrow of weeds and dead foliage out.
It’s been a while now since I planted this out in a tropical style, and hopefully this summer I can fill some gaps, as the very nature of this bed is to have a dense, lush, jungle feel, with pops of colour.
I have to say, I’ve bloody enjoyed being on hand and knee, digging out weeds and adding some aeration back to the soil.
What I’m most impressed with though, is how it’s developing, especially the euphorbias, as they are the stars of the understory planting.
Below is a few pictures from when initially planted it out, which is well over a year ago now, to a few from today, showing the vibrant colours of the euphorbia and how well they’ve grown.
