Got the base finished, nice and level, and the summerhouse/shed is now going up. 💪🔨

A bit of planning and prep at the start makes all the difference when it comes to getting a solid, long-lasting result. Looking forward to seeing this one completed!

Big transformation on this Sevenoaks property this week! 🏡✨

The walls were heavily weathered and covered in dirt, so this one needed plenty of preparation before any paint could go on. After a thorough fungicidal wash and a lot of prep work, the results speak for themselves.

Finished using Dulux Trade Weathershield 15 Year Masonry Paint in Almond White, giving the property a fresh, clean look that's built to last.

Preparation is everything when it comes to exterior decorating, and it's always worth the extra effort for a finish like this. 💪🎨

Wow... just 50 days to go! 🏔️

It doesn't seem five minutes ago that I signed up, and now the countdown is really on.

In 50 days I'll be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge — climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon — to raise money for the incredible Hospice in the Weald.

🌧️🔨 Two gate builds completed today! 🔨🌧️

Not exactly ideal weather today. Unfortunately, it meant I couldn't get on with the exterior painting job I've been trying to finish this week 😬.

Rather than lose the day, we switched gears and got these two gate builds completed instead. 💪

A bit of rain, a lot of wood, and another productive day despite the British summer doing its thing! 🌧️🪵😂

The work doesn't stop when the customers' jobs are finished! 😅

Spent this evening getting my own summerhouse/shed base completed. Just over 3 hours from start to finish and, once it's had time to cure properly, it'll be ready for installation at the weekend. 💪🏡

Now to hope the weather behaves itself! 🔨

Woodland sleeper steps leading up to this shed, slide and compost area had seen better days, so the old timber was removed and replaced with new oak sleepers.

The new sleepers were securely staked into the ground using rebar, with w**d membrane installed beneath and finished off with fresh 20mm shingle for a tidy, low-maintenance finish. Another area brought back to life and ready for many more years of use.

A great project for a returning customer this week 💪

Last year we transformed an area of their garden with bespoke sleeper flower beds and a decking area, so it was great to be asked back to tackle the main deck outside the house.

The existing two-level deck had reached the end of its life, with rotten timber throughout and sections becoming unsafe. Everything was stripped back, the failed timber removed, and the deck completely rebuilt.

The new design has been brought down to a single level, creating a much larger and more practical outdoor space while retaining the original curved feature.

To finish it off, new deck lights were installed around the perimeter of the half-circle for a clean and modern finish.

Not the easiest week with the weather, but we powered through and got it over the line. Really pleased with how this one turned out 👌

A couple of jobs completed this week ✔️

Both properties received a full exterior refresh, with the fascias and soffits thoroughly cleaned, prepared and repainted to bring them back to their best. As with any decorating job, preparation is key, so plenty of time was spent cleaning down surfaces, removing dirt and oxidation, and ensuring everything was ready for a long-lasting finish.

The guttering wasn't originally the main focus of the work, but after seeing how heavily faded it had become over the years, we decided to give it some attention too. Repainting gutters isn't something I've done before, but the results speak for themselves. A coat of Bedec MSP paint transformed them, tying everything together beautifully and saving the customer the cost of replacement 👌

One of the properties also had a full roof clean carried out using the traditional method of hand scraping, followed by a professional biocide treatment. This safely removes the moss while helping to prevent regrowth, without the risks that can come with pressure washing.

A great transformation all round and two very happy customers 😊
