Happy New Year 🌿

As we welcome 2026, we’d like to wish everyone a year filled with happiness and homes that truly feel like home.

Looking back on 2025, we feel incredibly grateful — for the people we’ve worked with, the relationships we’ve built, and the many conversations that start around a kitchen table. It’s often the simplest things that matter most: shared moments, everyday routines, and spaces designed to be lived in.

From our own base in the Kent countryside, we’re reminded daily how important it is for a home to feel warm, calm, and personal — and that’s something we hope for every home we’re lucky enough to be part of.

At Kraus Kitchens we love drawers under hobs, both deep ones and smaller ones!
They are the perfect place to store pots and pans, and, not forgetting the trusty utensil drawer. You spend so much time in your kitchen, so it needs to accommodate your work flow, such as prepping and cooking, and this kitchen does just that.

In most houses, there is an awkward space that you are never quite sure what to do with. In this house, there was a great space under the stairs with a boiler on the wall.

The challenge here is to create a space that is both usable and matches the design aesthetics. We decided to enclose the boiler so that it blends in with the other wall cabinets.

Underneath is a standard floor cabinet, and the customer has placed their microwave on the work surface, thereby removing it from the other work surfaces that already have small appliances, so that they all appear less cluttered.

This understairs space was also the perfect place to slot in the fridge freezer.

All the angles of this stunning island!

Some people design islands with hobs, some with sinks and some just like this; lots of usable workspace.

There is no right or wrong way, it just needs to suit your wants and needs. This island has space to sit and eat, storage and plenty of workspace.

All of this with a beautiful Carrara Misterio waterfall worktop for the perfect finishing touch.

This project was nothing short of a transformation. The ground-floor walls were demolished to create an open-plan layout, transforming what was once a dark, dated kitchen into a bright and inviting heart of the home.

The new design features:
💙 Aldana Airforce cabinetry – a timeless shaker in a rich blue that adds both character and elegance.
🤍 Carrara Misterio worktops with a waterfall island – bringing a light, luxurious contrast.
🍴 A practical dovetail oak cutlery drawer beneath the hob for craftsmanship and function.
💡 Thoughtful lighting, including under-cabinet and integrated glass shelf lighting, to create warmth and atmosphere.

The island is now the star of the space – perfect for cooking, gathering, and making memories. With the addition of a glass wall and a reconfigured dining area, the flow of the ground floor has been completely reimagined to suit family life.

The clients are absolutely thrilled with the result – and so are we. From dark and enclosed to open, bright, and stunning, this Bromley kitchen is now the perfect backdrop for everyday living and entertaining.
