Hi all recently I've been reviewing my use of Facebook and Instagram both from the point of view of how much time I lose on them thanks to their clever algorithms showing me stuff I get hooked into, but now , with their intention to use our posts to train AI I realise I want no part of this anymore. I shall stay on here a bit longer in order to post this message a few more times but, as from 25 th June I will be deleting my accounts:- This one , Celia Harvey Art and my Instagram account .Any body who wishes to remain in contact with me is welcome to Dm me and I will set up a contact with them. Its been great fun and at times a valuable resource but I am more and more aware I am a product and resource for these sites..I would far rather pay a monthly subscription so they can earn their money that way, rather than have a supposedly free service but one which involves way too many compromises and , to my mind societal dangers.

This started as a different scene altogether. I've been almost scared of painting for ages, so started with "Just Do It" in my mind. It was an awful piece of work, turgid and laboured. But... It got me going again. Today I just went for it, obliterated the old and allowed myself to play. Not finished, possibly never going to "make the cut", but my old excitement at the process has been rekindled. Sometimes the only way is to "Just do it.."

Exciting news, really pleased to say my Christmas Cards are now available from The Old Grainstore Emporium in Blandford. If you don't know it, it's a wonderful treasure trove full of clothes, the beautiful, the quirky, the "omg I had one of these as a child" , the useful and the intriguing. Also, since you could spend ages there, it's handy to know it has a lovely cafe too.. Shaftesbury Ln, Blandford Forum DT11 7EG
