The reception is the handshake your building gives before anyone speaks. For a client-facing business it’s not decoration… it’s the first line of the pitch.

This architectural illustration presents a residential design featuring prominent gabled forms and a considered material palette. The building combines white rendered surfaces with textured stone cladding, creating a balanced facade. Large windows are strategically placed, offering views and natural light. Integrated landscaping, including mature trees and a low stone wall, helps define the property and grounds it within its setting. This sketch effectively communicates the proposed aesthetic and its relationship with the street.

Bank holiday at home and thinking your space could work harder for you?

Whether you are dreaming of a kitchen extension, planning a new build, or looking to expand your business premises, Woods Architecture can take it from idea to reality.

We work across everything. Small, considered extensions that make the most of what you have. New builds designed from the ground up. Luxury residential across the south coast. Commercial spaces built for how businesses actually operate.

Our director brings experience from large scale mixed use developments in London and high end residential projects across the south coast. We bring that level of thinking to every project, whatever the size, right here on the Isle of Wight.

Family owned. Locally rooted. Built on the understanding that good design only works when it can actually be built.

If you have been putting off that conversation, now is a good time to start it.

Commercial architecture is not just about function.

It is about what a building communicates before anyone walks through the door. The material language. The way transparency is used. The relationship between the building and the space around it.

This project for ICRTouch at Sandown Airport takes the industrial honesty of a hangar and gives it precision. Dark corrugated cladding. Full height glazing. A building that works hard and looks considered doing it.

Commercial design done right does not shout. It simply belongs.

Light. Material. Proportion.

The three things that separate a room from a space. Get all three right and something shifts. The architecture disappears and what remains is just feeling.

Every interior we design starts with the same question. Not what should this look like. What should this feel like.

The rest follows.

End of terrace. End of ordinary.

A tired Bromley terrace, reimagined. White brick, vertical timber, and a considered entrance canopy that transforms the arrival experience entirely. The palette is restrained the impact is not.
