Seedling FAIL !!🥲

It happens to the best of us 🤷🏽‍♀️

These were my aubergine seedlings, I sowed them in a seed tray in January then moved them to this tray with individual cells the other day, they didn’t like it!! Game over for this lot!!!

Aubergines are tricky little blighters even with heat and lights 🙄

First job of the season - two new raised beds for this customer.

Very easy to set up! The beds are made from decking boards which go straight onto the lawn. Then I lined the beds with cardboard to suppress the grass and weeds underneath, then a good helping of well rotted manure, topped off with compost ☑️

I’ve put some netting over for now to keep any passing puss cats out!!

All ready for veggies and a cut flower garden this summer 🌷🌱🍆🌶

It’s the perfect time to do this if you fancy having a go growing veg this summer 🙏🏻

Hello!
Back on the gardens after precisely 3 months off. The kids have been off for 3 of those weeks, Christmas and New Year, my birthday and some home improvements!

This season I’m only looking after 5 gardens and all those spaces are currently taken 🙏🏻

Lots of seeds on the go here at Garden Fairy HQ, tomatoes, peppers, chillis and aubergines as they need a long season to fruit.

Later this month I’ll be sowing the first salad leaves among other things ❤️

Last year I really loved the oriental poppies I’d started from seed the year before. They gave height and colour after the alliums and before the summer flowers bloomed.

Ive grown a load more from seed over the winter ready to share with my lovely customers!!

Well hello from Garden Fairy Towers 👋🏻

Hopefully we’ve seen the last of the wintry weather and the spring bulbs can do their thing and burst into their full glory 🌼🌷

My snowdrops are just about to bloom and the daffodils, tulips and allium’s are peeping through too.

I’ve started some veg seeds! Tomatoes, peppers and aubergines have germinated. They need a long growing season so they are basking under grow lights indoors for now.

The Garden Fairy will be back in your gardens from w/c 26/2. It’s a great time of year to get on top of those pesky weeds!!

Do you use garlic?

Now is the time to plant garlic for harvest next summer.

Super easy, just plant a clove so that the top of it is 3-5cm below the soil a hand span apart.

Done!

I got these giant bulbs from Lidl, 28 cloves from 2 bulbs, 78p!!

Just off to revisit my very first customer!

A general yarden tidy after the summer and planting spring bulbs.

There will be something in bloom from Feb-May and what a beautiful surprise they will be 💐🌷🌼

This lot cost £20 and will come up year after year.

Yesterday I had my second visit to this beautiful space.

I reinstated a long overgrown bed. Started it off with some Iris and Pansies taken from other parts of the garden.

Next to tame the biggest honeysuckle I’ve ever seen! A huge mass of it was jumbled up in a crab apple tree along with a beautiful old Jasmin. Not any more!

Next to think of a good way to display these fab climbers next season.
