What a transformation!!!

Really pleased with how this Basement Conversion is Sheffield went. We opened up the stair wall to give the illusion of a far bigger basement and it really works especially by adding in a glass partition. We also managed to excavate down and give almost an additional 700mm of head room. Finally we added a neat little toilet and sink and done beautiful Teak stairs…

Sheffield Basement Conversions:-

This is one example of how not to do a Sheffield Cellar Conversion and what we’ve had to do to rectify the inadequate job another very well known national company did extremely poorly. The original conversion didn’t have the main elements needed to keep it waterproof like perimeter drainage, an adequate sump and pump or link to an external drainage point. The client didn’t have the budget to have it fully redone and the original contractor wouldn’t come back without charging a large amount.

Our list of works included painstakingly removing the floor and enough wall to link our new drainage channel, insulation, digging out and installing a new dual pump system with alarm and linking it to an external land drain correctly. With the budget we were working to we’ve managed to salvage and make this basement now fully waterproof…
