quality finishes, attention to detail, deadlines and budgets on all commercial building and shopfitting projects. To coin a phrase, it’s not just about what we do, it’s the way that we do it. Our estimating department uses bespoke software to turn quotes around in a day if required and our tilers – who are routinely in action out of hours- will work willingly into the night when needed so that we can always come to you with solutions rather than problems. Two of our three directors are professional tilers and are both the sons of professional tilers. Advice given is based on years of experience. You’ll see them onsite. They understand the importance of good communication. You can have their mobile numbers. And you can rest assured they’ve handpicked each member of staff to make sure quality is delivered on every job. This committed approach has allowed us to grow considerably. Since launching in Sheffield in January 2000, we now have 14 dedicated full time members of staff spread across our estimating, contract management and tiling departments, which allow us to serve a loyal and expanding base of clients across the UK. We’re chuffed to announce the successful completion of the newly refurbished H&M store at St. Stephen's Shopping Centre in Hull!
This project presented its challenges, from hacking up the old floor tiles on night shifts to levelling the uneven substrates and installing 2,500 m² of new floor and wall tiles—all to the usual…very tight schedule!

A big thanks to our (b)estimating team!…exceptional suppliers, and highly skilled tilers. Your hard work and commitment made getting the job successfully 'over the line' so much easier.

It was also a pleasure working with the fantastic team at Sigma, and we’re excited about the opportunity to work together on future projects!

Remembering our former employee and colleague, Dave Hallatt

It is with heavy hearts that we share the terrible news of the tragic passing of our former employee and colleague Dave Hallatt.
Dave was a time served, talented floor and wall tiler who carried out some great work for us on numerous commercial contracts.
A devoted family man and proud father, Dave will be remembered for his cheerful and gentle nature, love of rock music and Sheffield United. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts are with Dave's family at this difficult time.

Rest in peace Dave.

Role Description

This is a sub contract role as a Floor & Wall Tiler.

As a Tiler with The Great Northern Tiling Company, you will be responsible for fitting and installing a variety of tiles, including mosaics, ceramics, flooring, and marble. This is an on-site role, with projects nationwide. You will work closely with our team to ensure high-quality tile installations in commercial building and shopfitting projects.

Excited to announce that Phase 2 of the floor tiling program at the H&M Hull refurbishment is well underway.

After a gruelling couple weeks of night shifts ripping up and preparing the old floor, our incredible team (guys and girls! 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️) are now fitting over 2000m² of floor tiles, along with wall tiles and skirting.

The schedule is tight,(as usual!) demanding long shifts, but we’re on track and delivering the high-quality finish expected! 💪

A very recent throwback to May 10th of this year when we proudly walked away from the Annual Tile Association awards with a *Highly Commended* accolade for our tilers’ work at the Americana restaurant in central London.
