Old fence replaced with 1.2m high ( 4ft ) built on site double sided palings, internal rails with paling tops cut to match slope of drive & finished off with a topper.
Thanks once again to Jack Dodsworth for his help & a brief but important stint by Paul ( The human JCB ) Farrell digging the hardest hole of the day.

A fence of two halves.
First section fitted end of January & Second section fitted end of April. Hopefully this will now keep a very energetic puppy from making their escape.

It's been a couple of years since I've seen one of these. Lucky enough to see two today.
Caterpillar of the Elephant hawk moth. They're totally harmless, the false eyes on the top of the head are used to deter predators. They grow into beautiful moths.

Wasp nest treated this week.
Nests are removed wherever possible, this one however was in the wall cavity, so nest powdered & left for 24 - 48hrs before inspection.
Wasp nests only
NO BEES ( they are endangered )

Posts in met caps, drilled & secured with concrete screws.
Giving the lady who lives here peace of mind when using the steps.
