I had such a lovely walk through Picton Castle with my mum yesterday. The rain held off just enough to really get a good look at most of the things we wanted to see. It really is a beautiful place to visit.
The large blue flower spike is Echium (vipers bugloss) they are absolutely adored by bees. They come in many forms and sizes. These were magnificent

Alliums really brighten up a garden at this time of year.
You can buy these online through bulb suppliers, from now until late Autumn. They get planted ideally before Christmas. Let’s face it, most of us have been out planting in January because weather/ time can get the better of you. I’m not sure which Allium this is, but it works so well with the aquilegia. For some aquilegia (the darker flower) is a w**d, but for me they are natures gift. Often self seeding, or spread by birds. Mine at home sway between a geum “totally tangerine” and they are absolutely glorious.

Those are “Angels Wish” which flowers late April - early May.
The white and green tulips (which I posted about before) are “Spring Green” which again flowers from late April - early May
