Old hedge roots removed and excavated, dry stone retaining wall arcs built.... a jigsaw puzzle of Forest Marble stone stepping down to follow the gradient of the land. Wall cappings to follow next week, filling the beds with growing media today.... 25 tonnes of it!!

Old Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) hedge removed which had grown to 5m wide!! There had been an archway in the hedge...

Old Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) hedge removed which had grown to 5m wide!! There had been an archway in the hedge to link the two areas when I installed the pond, this has long since grown over.....

The violent storms wind and rain over the weekend wreaked havoc in many gardens. If you have had all your best efforts thwarted by hurricane Katey and are having to start all over again take heart. Perhaps it is time to rethink.
