These heated loungers required a serious amount of patience! The curve and wave contours, prevented us from manipulating the mosaic sheets over them, to our high standards. So...back to basics (and like the Romans!), we painstakingly removed the mosaics from the backing sheets and set each piece individually! If you're gonna do a job, you've gotta do it properly!

You never get a second chance to make a first impression, right?

Be the envy of your neighbours with a striking new doorstep. This traditional design will certainly attract some attention!

Today, we're putting the spotlight on this beautiful Victorian doorstep. First of all, the existing tiles were primed with Mapei UK Ltd Eco Prim Grip and then the area was levelled with Mapei Latexplan Trade.

The beautiful black and white chequerboard quarry tiles were laid at a 45 degree angle, with the side walls framed with a dark blue, glossy, glazed ceramic tile with matching dado and skirting border tiles.

Our customer was absolutely delighted with the end result!

This project isn't finished yet but our short video shows some behind the scenes footage and reveals the best way to deal with laying large 800 x 800mm porcelain tiles single-handed. Let's just say you definitely don't need to go to the gym after a day of abuse from these bad boys!

The Mapei UK Ltd. uncoupling mat offers belt and braces to the project, preventing movement fractures. The levelling clips are the perfect solution to achieve a flush joint and a level floor.
