Red Kite Tree Works Went on a trip to the pub this week…! 👀🍻

Unfortunately, not for the delicious food and refreshing drinks😢

Instead, we went to do some housekeeping😅

We went and cut back overgrowing trees and hedges away from the gas tanks, access roads, carpark spaces, pub signs and fog lights🤩

Well, we could say “take a look when you are there”… but it would be pointless. After visiting The Horseshoes, we know all you’ll be thinking about is the delicious meal you’ll have enjoyed😁

Did you know it’s not just storms that can cause failures in trees?

Pictured below is a ‘Summer Drop’…

Trees hold water, some hold more than others

To be able to store water they first need it available

We love dry summers, blue sky, lots of sunshine and as little rain as possible!

Unfortunately, this isn’t always beneficial for some trees….

A lack of water available in the soil means less can pulled up into the tree

The less moisture in the wood - The more brittle it becomes

Add that to a tree branch which has a lot of weight at the end and the results can be the same as what you see in the photos below….

We attended, removed the failure, kept the hedge intact and left without leaving a trace.

The area is now safe, so are the horses in the field and the customer can carry on as usual.
