Some jobs from last week after returning back from holiday.

First was a takeover in Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey, of a existing Spy Alarms system (previously it was a Master Alarms system) the job was a full device battery replacement and the external sounder sticker was changed for good measure.

Next was an old British Gas alarm system rip out and replacement in Sittingbourne. The old system was replaced for an Orisec CP20 panel, Orisec 720 keypad, Orisec internal sounder and a Orisec ES220 external sounder. The old system had been in for a while and was starting to misbehave, so it needed to be changed for something a little more modern.

Then last thing Friday, was a old door entry keypad swap, for a customer in Kemsley near Sittingbourne, the customer had lost the programming code for the keypad, so was unable to change the user code after some staff changes, I forgot to get a picture of what I replaced it with silly me.

I got a call this week to a patio French door that was solid, the customer had tried to force it open, but that didn't work and only managed to break the locking case seized the door closed.

I attended site and got the door open and then proceeded to strip the door down to repair the door lock itself. When I took out the bottom screw, water was just pouring out the door for a good few minutes and at quite a good rate. I will put a few pictures in the comments to show what the inside of the locking case looked like.

I could not see where the water was getting in, so I drilled a drain hole in the door to try to stop this happening again.

It was a daytime call-out so this was charged at £90.00 including VAT and the centre locking case was just a standard Safeware case so £72.00 including VAT.

A damsel in distress helped today in Iwade Sittingbourne due to the key being lost to the bedroom door.

Entry gained via no destructive means to a 3 lever lock.

Two photos, the first is from a customer this week in Sittingbourne and the second is from a customer of a fellow Locksmith who works in the Canterbury area.

Luckily for the person in Sittingbourne they got away with just paying a cancellation fee after the Romanian chap said he needed to drill the lock for £300.00 and then fit a new lock for £500.00

It took me 20 seconds to get into the property with no drilling and no lock changing my charge is between £60 and £95 depending on the time of day that you call.

I am so fed up of seeing vulnerable people getting scammed, it it so heart breaking with customers feeling ashamed that the got taken for a ride by these people.
