This lawn was completely over run with moss. We scalped the lawn down to the ground, scarified all the moss out, over seeded with a premium lawn seed and covered with a compost top dressing.

Its almost spring time!

We are still doing hedges, shrub and tree pruning in prep for spring. A couple of final spaces still available for that so feel free to message the page or Whats App.

Grass growing season will soon be back (thankfully!) and again we may have some space for lawn renovations in April/May. Below are a couple of lawns we renovated last year.

The first one we finished in the dark thanks to the customers spotlight. This was done in October and the second photo is how it looks now.

The second lawn was a real mess of moss and thatch, the after photo was taken only 4 weeks later when it got its first cut.

Hello! My name’s Damian and I’m the founder of Atoms to Astronauts.

Thank you for stopping by. If you’re here it’s likely because you love all things science and also love a good notebook - if so you’re in the right place.

A little info about me and the company below:

I’m a Dad to two primary school age kids, husband to my wife who works as an academic doctor and have loved all things science since a young age (you will often find me watching documentaries on obscure physicists and the like).

Prior to AtA I worked as a chemistry teacher for a decade and during covid lockdown I had a bit of spare time and designed myself a notebook cover.
Because (1) I was bored and (2) I’ve loved notebooks since my uni days for writing, journaling and generally using notebooks and planners to keep track of everything. But there was nothing that reflected my love for science. So I made my own!

I posted the design to reddit for feedback and lots of my fellow chemists asked for a copy. One thing led to another and here we are!
