It comes as no surprise that “Alfresco Care” won the most votes at The Care Show and internally here at Carless + Adams (the judge can confirm there was no bribes made).

All feedback was positive pointing towards the inclusive nature of the design, combining and encouraging an outdoor lifestyle, embracing a biophilic approach to enhance health and wellbeing. Integrating nature and living directly into the built environment seems to have captured all of our attention.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand at The Care Show for a healthy debate on care sparked by our Lego designs. Every single visitor had a strong opinion on the Lego design they chose and discussing their views of care for themselves in the future was a fantastic example of why we as an industry are driving design with longevity in mind.

Well done Team Alfresco Care!

Did you have a sleepless night wondering which team came in 2nd place in our care provision Lego design at the Care Show? Yes? Well don’t worry we are here to solve that for you.

In 2nd place was…..“Harmony Gardens”

Positive feedback from visitors at the Care Show was the dementia wander routes, design encouraging engaging interaction and social mobility between residents and promoting independence. Negative feedback was that the band needed to play for longer in the bandstand.

As the dust settles from The Care Show tensions run high here in Berkshire. Out of the three Lego designs, which one received the most votes at the show? Who did our colleagues vote for as their care provision of choice? And most importantly – and not because we are ridiculous competitive – which team’s design won?!?

In 3rd place (never last place) was…..“Flotilla of Care”

Positive feedback from visitors at the Care Show were the ever-changing scenery, active involvement and promoting of water-based sport. Those against came from the land lovers who had a cat’s negative instinct against water.

Tune in tomorrow for the announcement of 2nd place position. Nail biting stuff.

We are excited to see the progress on site at Sittingbourne as the timber roof trusses are now being installed. With doors and windows in place at lower ground level, the building is rapidly taking shape and moving closer to becoming a fully watertight care home.
