Not all heroes wear capes - some wear their MAN Commercial Protection uniform! 🦸🏽‍♂️
 
Yesterday, we attended the ACS Pacesetters Security Officer of Distinction Awards to celebrate our Transport Safety Officer Mohammed Naqshbandi, being recognised as a winner. 👏
 
Mohammed, who works for MAN at Transport for West Midlands, was nominated following an extraordinary off-duty incident where he demonstrated bravery, and instinctive judgement.
 
While arriving early for work, Mohammed witnessed a violent burglary in progress.
 
Following the incident, Mohammed continued to support West Midlands Police by providing vital video evidence, CCTV footage and a full witness statement to assist the investigation.
 
His actions went far beyond what could ever be expected and are a true reflection of the values we strive for every day across MAN Commercial Protection and our Transport Safety Officer partnership. Congratulations Mo!
 
Mo attended the awards with his Contract Director Greg Smith, CEO Iain McCallister and colleagues from MAN who were all proud to see him take to the stage to receive his trophy from Michelle Russell of the SIA.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our security team at The Brewery Shopping Centre, Romford, who have been recognised for Excellence in Customer Service, winning the London regional round of the British Security Awards.
From supporting vulnerable individuals in crisis, to assisting emergency services during serious incidents, this team consistently goes above and beyond the expectations of their role.

Yesterday, CEO Iain McCallister attended site to present the team with their awards and recognise this brilliant achievement.

Congratulations to the entire team, and thank you for the truly amazing job you do!

First ever award nomination for the MAN Commercial Training Academy, and it’s a good one 🏆

We’ve been shortlisted for Outstanding Support for Students at the Midlands Education Awards 2026!

The Academy was built to do two things: give people a genuine pathway into the security industry, and develop the next generation of MAN employees.

Seeing it recognised like this tells us we’re on the right track. A huge thank you and well done to our training team.

Looking forward to the ceremony on 3rd July at Millennium Point, Birmingham!

Congratulations to Laura Walsh, who has been crowned Female Security Officer of the Year - North West 🏆

Laura has been recognised by and will progress to the national British Security Awards as an overall finalist in June, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Laura has been a fantastic member of the Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre Team since joining MAN nearly 3 years ago, playing an integral role in key incidents and consistently delivering excellent service.

Iain McCallister was on site yesterday to present Laura with her award, along with Site Manager James Walsh, Centre General Manager Mark Welsby and Contract Director Andrew Bryce.

Huge well done, Laura, amazing to see you recognised 👏

We’ve officially achieved Silver in the
Social Value Excellence Scheme - a recognition of the work we’re doing to give back, develop people, and create meaningful impact beyond our day-to-day operations. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This award reflects our community participation and actions, including developing talent through our apprenticeship programmes and supporting learners through our Spectator Safety NVQ and SIA courses.

Since May 2025, these efforts have already contributed to 15 points within the scheme, and we’re just getting started. Thank you to everyone across our team and partners who support our social value mission.🥰
