Growing up in Bergen, Norway - (Europe's wettest city) encouraged a passion in me for creating a home that's warm and inviting, restful yet refreshing. Most of us lead a hectic lifestyle, and I hope to bring you little pockets of beauty, sunshine and happiness to your everyday life. Be this through a scented candle, a soft throw, a hand-thrown ceramic mug or a dining table for entertaining friends and family, which will stand the test of time. My aim is to do so in a way that's a fine balance of quality and price. Where possible, I will always choose fair-trade and handmade products, made from recycled materials, and if there is a charitable cause behind a line then even better. I work with a wonderful creative team, who are always on hand to offer advice. They're the ones who create the amazing displays in the shop, from my mumbled ideas based on feelings (usually) into action - quite a skill if you ask me. Simultaneously, offering great customer service in a happy, chilled environment. Together we've created a destination shopping experience, so if you pop by the shop one day be sure to say "Hi!"

The Scandinavian way of living (aka Hygge) is about taking pleasure from the simple things in life, slowing down and getting cosy. Liv's relaxed Scandinavian perspective is inspired by travel and nature. You will see this is reflected through the natural materials chosen; marble, reclaimed wood, cut glass, woollen throws, woven cotton, concrete, velvet, handmade ceramics, basket ware and metals such as brass, copper and tin. Mixing natural textures will add to the feeling of being cosseted and warm, and give you a cool stylish home. Whether this would be a spa-styled bathroom with scented candles, french soap on a marble soap dish, hammam towels and statement toilet roll holders, or the fair trade zinc photo frames for your treasured photos on reclaimed wood shelves. In the kitchen the right tools and decorative yet functional accessories makes cooking and hanging out in the kitchen more fun. Liv's offer a large selection of drinking glasses, canisters, egg holders, kitchen roll holders, cookbook stand, bowls, mugs and chopping boards. To dress your table for the everyday or when you have friends over, there is a great collection of cocktail glasses, placemats, coasters, and gold, black and stainless steel cutlery, topped off with contemporary serviettes. Liv's also stock a fun selection of barware, and a brilliant selection of floor standing, wall hanging and table top wine bottle racks. Hectic lifestyles require a home that's easy to maintain, and good home storage solutions help keep things tidy. Choose from natural woven baskets, felt baskets, jumbo bags made from recycled plastic bottles to metal wire shelving and fab hooks to hang everything from your coat, bag, jewellery and towels from. Furniture that stands up to everyday use and is easy to live with also makes difference. Liv's range includes a collection of FSC certificate reclaimed wooden furniture, which includes beds, bedside tables, dining tables and benches, that are contemporary yet classic in form. Industrial style rustic wood extending dining tables and benches with black metal legs, matching TV units and sideboards with black round metal knobs, with unevenly spaced cupboards and drawers. Liv's range of contemporary mix of dining chairs, is carefully sourced to be comfortable and tactile.
