June 16th- What experience in life has shaped you?

All of them 🤣
Most recently though it would have been being made redundant from an office job during the first wave of covid.
It was devastating at the time but exactly what I needed to start my own gardening business.
I'm very grateful that I experienced redundancy, it gave me the opportunity to reevaluate what I really wanted out of life.

😍 When clients bring you coffee in a gardening related mug 😁☕️👩‍🌾

👀What are you looking forward to? 👀

The journey home from Bristol in my new van did me in. Police had closed a road because of a herd of cows on the road 🙄

I'm looking forward to curling up in bed with outdoor dried fresh sheets ☺️😴

🖤 Happy New Moon 🖤 Gratitude Practice
June 14th
So we're a fortnight in and I am certainly feeling the benefits of practicing gratitude. Having to manage a vehicle breakdown and negotiating buying a new van this weekend, rather than stress out about it my mind went straight to the positives of the situation.

For those of you practicing along at home- are you feeling the benefits?

Right, so today's is...
💚WHAT ARE YOUR 5 BEST QUALITIES?

Now this one stumped me for a while... initially I was like "I dunno 🤷‍♀️"
Then PAYE capitalist conditioning took over and I felt myself typing a CV, relating my qualities back to productivity... Hard working, reliable, good at time keeping. NO. They may describe my work ethic but those terms are not who I am as a person, so here we go...

🩷 I feel everything very deeply. Happiness, sadness, joy, amusement, grief, love. It's part of what makes me feel so alive.
💜💜The ability to laugh easily, at myself, at silly jokes, at bodily noises, my dogs antics... the list goes on 😆
❤️❤️❤️I have very strong determination, if I say I'm going to do something, I will do it. This has given me trust in myself. Sheer grit and determination got me to the summit of Kilimanjaro, altitude sickness wanted to stop me half way.
🧡🧡🧡🧡Fiercely protective of those that I love. I will grab my flame thrower and march head on into battle to help my family and friends.
🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵Independent. Personal quality or trauma response, i'm undecided 😆 But what I do know is my hyper independence and determination got me through some really tough situations in my younger years for which I'm grateful as it's made me who I am today and I actually really quite like who I am/becoming.

Over to you...

Well that's been a busy and tiring day after only a couple hours sleep last night 😴
Another late night post 11:30pm, as I've just got back from doing the big food shop, not wanting to waste what is going to be a sunny Sunday stuck in a supermarket.

Today's gratitude is to list 5 of your current blessings. If you're going through a tough time you may feel your blessings are only small, but they are glimmers nonetheless and deserve to be recognised ☺️

1️⃣My mums mental health has stabilised and we are now able to have the mother daughter relationship I always wanted.
2️⃣My family including my dogs are all fit and healthy.
3️⃣Self Employment and a sucessful business.
4️⃣Lunchtimes inbetween clients to walk Kili across the fields.
5️⃣I now have two days off in a row and it's going to be warm and sunny 🌞

🍍June 12th Daily Gratitude Practice 🍉
What is one difficult situation you are currently going through and what is the hidden blessing?

You may want to just think about this privately rather than sharing which is absolutely ok. I do massively appreciate how open everyone has been with their gratitudes so far, thank you.

Ironically, everything has been really plain sailing in my life up until this evening 😆 which is why I'm only getting round to writing this post at 1.15am 😬
Currently contending with a van which has reached the point of no return so I've spent all evening trawling the internet for a new van and getting insurance quotes.

I'm so grateful that I'm now in a position where it isn't a catastrophe when the work van breaks down because we have a second vehicle.

I think many of you who are following along with my 30 days of gratitude have already kinda answered this one...

💞What do you love about your family?💝

Try and be as specific as possible then pick up the phone and tell your family 😚

🧡 Day 9 of our 30 days of gratitude, brings us to accomplishment
Write or think about how grateful you are in respect of something you've accomplished or that gives you a sense of accomplishment 💪

I always feel very satisfied once I've reset the house. All laundry done, kitchen sides clear, hoovering done and sofa blankets straightened. With the windows open and an incense burning, being able to sit in the peace and quiet on the sofa surrounded by a clean tidy home gives me a great sense of accomplishment. Therefore I am grateful for my home in which I live.

Let's start the week off on a good foot, despite the weather being wet and miserable here in Somerset.
💚Express gratefulness for something that brings you a sense of safety 😘

Having kitchen cupboards and freezers full of food gives me a sense of safety. Something which I'm really grateful that I am now in a position to have. At the beginning of 2025, with Phil physically unable to work, requiring surgery, it meant that our stocks dwindled and without the support we received, we would have been going hungry. I'm very grateful for the help we received then and for now having full cupboards again 😃

Couldn't help but chuckle when I found this Stink Horn fungi in the woods this weekend 🤭
I'd not seen one in real life before and it's quite the novelty 😆
That gooey mess you see in the photo, that's the egg that it grows from 😯
I wish I could have set a timelapse video to record as it would have been fascinating to see 👀
Even more fascinating and weird, their 'eggs' are apparently edible... not sure i'd find them all that appetising though, as the name suggests, they're stinky 😳
