Love the way this bog sage cascades over the wall into the mill leat. 🌿❤️ November and still flowering!! Busy day clearing this bed and dividing some of the perennials. The geraniums have got very over crowded and didn’t thrive this year. So most have been dug up and the remaining clumps spread out and we’ll see how they do next year 🤞🏻 the whole bed will be mulched and some new perennials, a small tree & probably a rose or two planted - once we can decide which ones!!

Time to start clearing the beds, including putting these guys to bed for the winter and then mulching the borders. It’s going to be a busy autumn in all the gardens.

Well the weather has thrown pretty much everything at us this week! From gale force winds, torrential downpours and then bright blue autumn skies. 🥴🥴 But I do love autumn!!
These gunnera still have another month in them before we put them to bed for the winter by mulching the crowns with their own spectacular leaves!! They are huge!! 🤪

The stars of the show this week have to be the aptly named star jasmin (trachelospermum jasminoides) - the scent is divine ☺️ and the magnificent blooms of the evergreen magnolia grandiflora. Stunners!!

I think we are getting there!! What a difference in just 14 ish months! Some gardens (and customers) just make you smile, and this is definitely one that does just that! ☺️☺️
