This needs some explaining! This is the old bread oven….the Manor used to be the village bakery and post office and the bread oven extended from the west wall. It was “filled in before Margery Fish moved in and that was the problem because it created a big damp problem. Mrs Fish solved that by creating a terraced area stepping away from the house and calling it …the Coliseum! It was taken over by Houttuynia cordata 😖so I spent my morning hopefully eradicating that stuff and exposing the old walls of the bread oven 😁
