Seems ages since I posted...it's been a great summer: gardening, re-painting every room in a house in Wi******er, making over a front garden and planning the planting of hundreds of bulbs for the grounds of an apartment block in Southampton.

Well I must have lost at least 5 kg in the last few weeks, don't think the temperature has dropped below 24c every time ...

Well I must have lost at least 5 kg in the last few weeks, don't think the temperature has dropped below 24c every time I've been working. My challenges over the last week or so have included:
Clearing 2 large w**d infested driveways
Cutting back & shaping an overgrown smoke bush & rhododendrons in a front garden
Fixing an extremely squeeky lop sided gate
Re-fitting 8 doors after new carpets
Tamed a 50 year old "flower island" in the middle of a lawn & planted some new shrubs
Next week I know includes hanging some family portraits and oil paintings, reclaiming a forgotten corner in a lovely cottage garden, maintaining the grounds here at Lingwood - that's a bit like painting the Forth Bridge but I love it.
