Service & Maintenance Engineer (HVAC)

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service & Maintenance Engineer to carry out servicing, fault finding, commissioning, and reactive callouts across our customer base. The role will also involve completing remedial works identified during inspections and diagnostics.

If you’re a reliable problem-solver with strong air conditioning diagnostic experience, this could be the ideal role for you. We are particularly interested in candidates with manufacturer certifications and experience using Mitsubishi and Daikin service checker tools to support fault diagnosis.

Requirements

Essential:

NVQ Level 2 or above in Air Conditioning / Heat Pumps
Valid CSCS card
Proven fault-finding and diagnostic experience

Desirable:

IPAF / PASMA certification
Manufacturer training (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu)
Experience using service checker tools
DBS check

🔧 Self-Employed HVAC Install Engineer
We’re looking for a sub-contractor to work with us on various on-going projects around the South Coast. You must have your own van, tools, and insurance, along with F-GAS certification. We’ll provide cylinders and materials where required, and all jobs are allocated via our easy-to-use CRM system (training provided).
We work across both commercial and residential properties, so adaptability and experience in both sectors is a big advantage. If you have a portfolio or examples of recent installs, please include these with your introduction email.

We’re Hiring – Part-Time Assistant to the Service Manager

Air Control Southern Ltd, based in Park Gate, Southampton, is recruiting for a Part-Time Assistant to support our busy Service Manager and engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, confident on the phone and enjoys a varied role where every day is different.
About the Role

• Approximately 16 hours per week, with flexibility to increase up to 24 hours during busy periods.
• You will be the first point of contact for incoming calls – communicating with customers, engineers and suppliers in a clear, professional and friendly manner.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating service engineers using our field management software (Big Change).
• Log and monitor service jobs, ensuring customers receive updates and jobs are completed efficiently.
• Support with service contract administration, quotations, and updating records and job files.
• Help with stock control, ordering parts and ensuring materials are available for the team.
• General administrative support to the Service Manager and wider team.
What We’re Looking For
• Excellent telephone manner is essential – confident, polite, and professional at all times.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Experience in administration, scheduling or customer service.
• Good computer skills – Microsoft Office is essential; experience with Big Change or similar software is an advantage.
• A proactive approach, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to great customer service.
• Previous experience in HVAC, engineering or a service-based industry is useful but not essential, as training will be provided.
