Really satisfying job, the customers went with my designs for their 2m x 2m box room & their son was so excited with his new room that he was moving in before I was even out 😄

It was back to Suffolk last week to continue our work, finishing the insulated plasterboard, taping and jointing, rewiring & decorating the front room before repeating the whole process in the lounge.
This job isn't just about making the place look pretty. It's about removing old and unsafe lath & plaster. Which over the years loses its strength and it's adhesion to the wooden laths above and can then fall off in big heavy lumps of plaster.
It's also about improving thermal properties of an old house which suffers from cold drafts and sever damp issues.
Once we are done it'll feel like a brand new home! Without the big snagging list associated with a new build of course 😉

Last week's job for a customer recently moved into their new home.
Out with the old utility room & in with the new. The customer wanted lots more storage, built in appliance, boxing in of the boiler and pipework, new laminate flooring as well as hanging space for laundry.

Just completed a fitted wardrobe refurbishment for a customer in they wished to keep the original sliding doors but refurb the insides with a set of draws, rail, shelves and the all important shoe racks. We kept the budget down by using wardrobes for the majority and a bespoke set of narrow shelves to make the most of the space. And we replaced the bedroom door so that the young person could finally lock their brother out!

We've knocked down walls, built new ones. Blocked doorways up and cut new ones. Replastered, retiled, painted and carpeted.

This week's client is the lovely Bronnie. She bought her first property and with the help of her partner Seb and family they are completely remodeling what was a long term rental property.
They brought me in to do the tricky bits like kitchen worktops, splashback, plinths, pelmet & cornices as well as hanging oak fire doors and a few other bits.
Massive thank you goes to .daines for coming all the way from Suffolk to lend a hand on this one. "Couldn't of done it without you dad!"
