‘evict the tories’

After thirteen years of Conservative rule, Britain is a pale shade of the nation it once was. The fabric of social cohesion diminished, national institutions sold off to extortionist corporations, and the people ground deeper into the muddied furrow of poverty than most have ever experienced.

The architects of this catastrophic theft of wealth and power? The nonsensically-named Conservatives.

Storming to power in 2010 on the back of rising xenophobic nationalism, this band of self-serving neoliberal capitalists have sold off every remaining asset this nation had to the lowest bidder under the veil-thin banner of the “big community.” When they weren’t stoking the flames of colonial nostalgia and exceptionalism, they were forcing nurses and firefighters into using food banks, and starving schoolchildren. Their policies of corporate pillage have stripped ordinary workers of rights, freedoms, and earnings, and everyone is poorer for the decisions levelled at us from these blue-rosetted shills.

Their most heinous offence? Convincing the public that their shade of thievery and corruption was not only necessary, but in the public interest.

Evict them.

We're delighted that our site-specific installation piece "Plastic" has recently been on display at the Estuary Fringe Festival's Pop-Up Gallery in the Victoria Shopping Centre.

Thankfully, the Pop-Up has already closed to the public, and our work can return to its busy schedule of private invitation-only showings to international art gallery owners and influenceable council officers.
