So despite the weather yesterday we were able to almost finish what we started and we’re very pleased with the outcome. The purpose of NRG is to change the face of Landscaping and give it a better reputation.

On this project we had to deal with

1) Paint flaking off due to no mis coat being applied
2) Removing all coping stones that had been fitted using mastic 😮
3) Replacing the column coping stones to a single marble slab as oppose to cut sections
4) Complete all grouting to vertical cladding
5) Natural drainage from raised area to avoid ‘ponding’ on the astroturf.

On top of this we found that the coping stones had been installed UPSIDE DOWN so they all had to be lifted, mastic removed and cut to suit.

All in all a good job and working for a kind older lady that kept us fed with cheese and crackers plus tea ☕️😉

So as many of you will know I like to give and donate to and when funds allow Bar 'n' Bus I also have an interest in so consider that I do my bit with regards to giving. In return I’ve met many interesting people including the likes of Danielle Belton. Rob Gray Adrian Greenfield Karl Lansley and many more that are not followers of this page but I’ve also been given a Chordoma Sarcoma tumour in my lower back between my bowel and my spine which has been extremely painful over recent months but I’m going to Park Royal St Marks and then the RNOH Stanmore to get it sorted 😉

I’m proud of my business. I’m proud of Rochford Town Sports Social Club and the team. I’m proud of what I stand for in the community. I’m proud of the people who have employed NRG to improve their outside space. I’m proud of the UK albeit politically it’s been turned on its head. I’m proud to wear the Chordoma cap but most of all I’m proud of my family.

The business will be left in the capable hands of Ray Coyne so don’t think for one minute that this ‘situation’ will impact on the companies growth 😉

There’s no denying that this has been a challenging project which was compounded by some poor workmanship that had to be corrected at our own expense. Certainly a lesson learnt with regard to employing workman that say they can but they can’t. I liken this job to LIFE which has a few bumps on the way but we all get there in the end. A very understanding customer who is pleased with the end result 😁

One of the nice things that came out of the job is with the permission of the customer we recycled the decking to design and create borders within an allotment for a local young lady known to Michèle Gibbins free of charge. Why? Because it’s good to give 😉

All in a days work although it has taken 2 months on and off to complete

So after 22 years of pain being No 2 my national team have finally gone and done it as have Rochford Town who won 4-2 tonight although they’ve already been promoted. The most amazing day including Day 1 of a job in Grays where so far the customer is very happy 😉

For those of you that wander how easy or hard it is to start a business there’s more to it than meets the eye from registration with companies house, building a portfolio, searching out work, attending numerous council meetings to get on government approved supply chain lists, compliance with ESG and H & S, building a website and FB page and most importantly building a strong team around you. Added to this as a business we support numerous charities including Rochford Town Reserves as well as providing a free community minibus.

This has all been achieved over the last 18 months by massive financial investment, support of my family, many hours of time and effort, teamwork and collaboration with those that work for the business and those that have used our service.

Above all it’s our customers that have put their trust in a local business that deserve the praise and gratitude. Without customers there is no business so may I take this opportunity to thank everybody that has contributed to making the business what it is 😁
