Out with the old.. in with the new in East Hanningfield.
A recent replacement of an old gravity hot water system and burnt out shower pump with a new Heatrae Sadia Slimline Megaflo Eco (125 litre) unvented cylinder. Converted the heating system from a Y-Plan to an S-Plan, rewired and replaced the old controls with a new Hive dual heating controller (heating and hot water). This provides effectively mains pressure hot and cold water at all outlets and allows control of the heating and hot water from your smartphone via an App (remotely from the house too if needed).
It is a much better insulated cylinder with good heat recovery time and accompanies a new replacement bathroom. The hot and cold water issues were fixed first, along with re-plumbing the bathroom, to give great flow rates. All lever valves for isolating the mains, balanced cold and hot water systems conveniently located at the front of the airing cupboard at a convenient height to access. No water tank/cistern required in the loft either!
