We’re pleased to be working with new client ASG Construction on an ongoing residential development in Graveley, consisting of four new homes.

For all four properties, we specified wired Ajax Systems intruder alarm systems, rather than the wireless systems we typically install.

On a new build, this is the perfect opportunity to go wired. With the properties still under construction, we can install and conceal all of the alarm cabling before the walls are finished, leaving no visible wiring once complete.

A wired system also brings some key long-term benefits. Devices are powered through the system rather than relying on individual batteries, reducing future battery replacements and ongoing maintenance. Communication between devices is carried over dedicated cabling, providing a permanent and dependable connection throughout the property.

Most importantly, the infrastructure becomes part of the building itself. The cabling is there for the long term, allowing individual components to be serviced, replaced or upgraded in the future without having to start again with the underlying installation.

Combined with the smart functionality, app control and clean finish of AJAX, it gives each homeowner a modern security system with a solid foundation behind it.

We’ll be returning as each of the four plots progress, taking the systems from first fix through to the final installation.

📍 Royston | Automated Blinds Designed Into the Home

Sometimes the best technology is the technology you barely know is there.

This project in Royston features large south-facing windows, including glazing positioned out of easy reach. The client wanted an automated solution to manage sunlight, heat and privacy, but with a clear brief - keep the finished look clean, minimal and with as little technology on show as possible.

Working alongside electrical contractors , we reviewed the architectural drawings and planned the solution into the build from the outset.

We specified QMotion automated roller blinds, with concealed blind pockets designed into the property so the rollers completely disappear from view when the blinds are open. A simple CAT6 cable to each blind provides the required infrastructure, while QMotion’s super-quiet motors keep operation discreet too.

🎛️ Control4 handles the control, giving the client simple wired wall switches in each room, alongside the ability to create useful functions such as master ‘all down’ controls in key areas.

Getting involved at this stage means we can consider everything from the fabric and level of light control through to the motors, wiring, pockets and integration before the walls and ceilings are finished.

No remotes lying around. No visible rollers. No unnecessary technology on show.

Just effortless control of those hard-to-reach south-facing windows, with the blinds looking and feeling like they were always part of the architecture.

Back in Welwyn recently to visit a project we originally completed last year as part of a full home refurbishment.

The client contacted us after experiencing an issue with one of their AJAX CCTV cameras. After diagnosing the fault, we returned with a replacement camera, swapped the faulty one and got the system back up and running. ✅

Even though the installation was completed over a year ago, the camera was still covered by AJAX’s 2-year manufacturer warranty, meaning we were able to replace it at no cost to our client.

For us, the job doesn’t end when the installation is finished. Good aftercare is just as important - we want our clients to know that if something does go wrong further down the line, we’re still here to look after it.

🎉 3 years of Kayleigh!

Today we’re celebrating three years since Kayleigh joined the Infinite team!

It’s crazy to think how quickly those three years have gone. Kayleigh has become such a big part of the day-to-day running of Infinite Smart Tech, and we don’t know what we’d do without her now!

She keeps us organised, keeps things moving and, more importantly, puts up with the rest of us on a daily basis 😂

So naturally, we marked the occasion in the best way we know how… with cake and pastries! 🧁🥐

We were recently on site in Harpenden, surveying a former police station that’s being transformed into modern office space for one of our long-standing clients.

Working alongside MGBC Construction, we’re looking after the technology and security infrastructure throughout the building, including:

🔐 10 YEARS ON… AND STILL GOING STRONG.

We first installed security at this property in Henlow around 10 years ago, and recently we were invited back to carry out the next stage of upgrades.

That’s something we’re really proud of - we don’t install technology with the expectation that it’ll need replacing every few years. We specify quality products, install them properly, and build systems that last.

This time around, we upgraded the property with AJAX cameras, extended the security system to protect all of the outbuildings, and solved one slightly unusual security problem… 🐶

The family pup had discovered that jumping up onto the front windowsill was a very effective way of setting the alarm off. Clearly, neighbourhood watch is a serious business. 😂

To keep everyone happy, we installed an AJAX Motion Protect Curtain on the front window. Rather than monitoring the whole room, the laser creates a narrow detection line across the window - meaning the property stays protected while the pup can continue keeping an eye on the street without setting the alarm off every time! 🐾🚨

Technology moves on, requirements change, and systems evolve - but a quality installation should stand the test of time.

For us, this job is a perfect example of why we choose the products we do. Security technology that lasts, and a system that can be upgraded and adapted!

Security Upgrade - Kensington, London 📍

A little follow-up from our Kensington project last week - this time, the finished installation.

We recently upgraded the security across a collection of studio apartments, bringing several separate systems together into one complete Ajax security solution.

Now everything is installed, we wanted to share a few photos of the finished result.

From the Ajax video doorbells and CCTV cameras through to the intruder alarm devices, everything has been installed with the aim of providing comprehensive security while keeping the technology discreet and in keeping with the properties.

Behind the scenes, the owner now has complete visibility across every space from one app, with individual access permissions set for different members of staff.

As part of this beautiful garden renovation in Gosmore, Hitchin, by Refined Landscapes, we were brought in to extend the technology beyond the home's four walls.

We installed a Sylvox outdoor TV, a full Sonos surround sound system, and extended the WiFi coverage throughout the garden - giving the client seamless entertainment and connectivity throughout their new outdoor space.

A great example of how the right technology can become part of the garden design, rather than feeling like an afterthought.

Security Upgrade – Kensington, London 🔐📹

This week’s job took us into Kensington, upgrading security across a collection of studio apartments used as office space, an art studio and accommodation.

Previously, each apartment had its own separate security system. The solution was to bring everything together into one simple platform.

Using Ajax Systems, each apartment now has:
