Good afternoon everyone.

Just a short post to let you know that we have officially retired and closed our business as of 1 November 22.

We would like to thank all our lovely customers for keeping us busy for 10 years. It has been a pleasure trying to keep your gardens looking good.

We are planning to take some time to get used to not working 5 or 6 days a week, then in the spring we are hoping to get to see more of our lovely countryside including Scotland, Wales and maybe Ireland.

There are a few other garden businesses in Stamford Bridge who will fill the space we have left.

Good afternoon everyone.

The time has come for us to throw in the trowel, switch off the mowers and shelve the hedge cutters.

We have decided to retire at the end of this year and take time to enjoy ourselves and see some more of our lovely countryside including Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We started in 2014 with just a few customers and working 2 or 3 days per week, but that soon grew to working 5 or 6 days per week.

One of the main reasons for this decision is that neither of us are getting any younger and the physical job takes its toll on the body.

We would like to thank all our lovely customers for keeping us employed over the years, we have really enjoyed looking after your gardens big and small.

If there are any gardeners out there who think that they could take on our customer list, preferably local, please message us via this page and we can maybe meet up to discuss it.

If we have promised to carry out a tidy up or hedge etc. we will of course still honour that promise.

It's been a while since our last post due to work and then the heatwaves.

We just thought we would share these before and after pictures of a job we did recently for a lovely lady.

Her first words were "wow wow wow" so we think she was pleased.

Good afternoon everyone.

Grass cutting is in full speed ahead mode due to the good weather we are having at the moment.

If there are any people out there or you know of someone who needs their grass cutting and/or maintaining, then we have availability to take on some more.

We are unfortunately not taking on hand and knees weeding, as we are both not getting any younger.

On a separate note, if you are thinking of doing some garden clearance, please spare a thought for mating hedgehogs who may be hiding in piles of leaves or in overgrown garden areas. Just check before you strim!

Good afternoon everyone.

Due to the gorgeous sunny weather last week, we had a great one. We managed to get plenty of lawns cut and a few jobs that had been promised before Christmas.

This week has started badly with a complete wash out on Monday but started to catch up today. Keep an eye on the weather forecast tonight as it would appear there is heavy rain and "SNOW"!!!? on the way🤷‍♂️😲

Are there any gardeners out there who have availability to take on the garden of a lovely lady with a corner garden bungalow? She has been a customer of ours for some years but unfortunately we can't accommodate her this year. She will need a garden clearance then regular maintenance. Please PM us for more details in order to keep it confidential.

Good afternoon.

First week back to work for a very long time and it feels like it too. Aches in places we forgot we could get aches. Thank goodness for Radox (other bath salts are available).

We are still just trimming grass for at least another week to protect the lawns from unexpected frosts.

We may have capacity to take on a few more grass cutting customers as some of our customers from last year have, understandably, decided to give it a go and cut their own grass. 👍

A couple of large hedges, that were promised, next week then back to grass.

Good afternoon everyone.

It's been a while since we last posted anything on our page so we hope you are all well.

It's the time of year when we are starting to think about cutting grass for our lovely customers.

As many of you will know, we are planning to scale back what work we take on. We will be concentrating on grass this summer but will not be taking on large hedges and trees. We know a great bloke who can though.

Our regular customers will be looked after, of course, as priorities, so our books will be full at the moment. We will review our availability later in the season, so no harm in asking once we get going.

If anyone is thinking of cutting their own grass, please remember not to cut too short as there are still frosts around. A light trim is fine but too short will be like going from long hair to a short skinhead!!! Brrr!!

We are looking forward to seeing people again when we are out and about.

Good afternoon everyone.

We would just like to thank all our regular customers for keeping us employed throughout the summer season. It was hectic for us but enjoyable.

We would also like to thank many of you for your patience and understanding during our sad last few weeks.

Unfortunately if you are waiting for us to come to you to do hedges or tidy ups, and you haven't heard from us, then it will be after Christmas and New Year before we get to you.

It's just left for us to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Good morning.

An update from us.

My dad passed away peacefully in the care of St Leonards hospice last Friday so it's still a bit complicated.

We have just started back working a few days a week, so if you are waiting for hedges and tidy ups, we haven't forgotten about you.

Unless your grass is extremely long, we do not intend doing much grass cutting. Due to our personal circumstances it's really a bit late in the year to be cutting or treating grass. We apologise for that.

On a lighter note. I fell into a skip yesterday gashing my head. 4.5 hours in AandE came home with steri strips and superglue

Unfortunately we are taking a step back from the business due to family commitments.

We will restart working in around two weeks unless circumstances change sooner.
