Happy Friday.

One of my favourite things about sewing is seeing potential in a piece of fabric that might otherwise be overlooked.

A remnant on a shelf. A bolt end tucked away in a basket. A print that's too beautiful to leave behind.

Sometimes those pieces become the most special makes.

Every bag, pouch and accessory I create starts with fabrics I've fallen in love with, carefully chosen and made into something useful, long-lasting and completely unique.

I like knowing that no two will ever be exactly the same.

Still waiting for the butterflies to arrive...

I've not seen much butterfly activity in my garden yet this year. Maybe it's still a bit early?

Oh well, I'll just have to make do with my indoor butterflies for now!

Hopefully it won't be too long before the real thing makes an appearance.

I have to say, I’m really enjoying these shorter working weeks - May is such a great month for it! More time for sewing is always a win.

And the weather forecast is looking very untypical for a bank holiday weekend! What will you be doing? We might head to the coast.

Turns out gluten free baking can actually be really good 👀

I’ve recently started a GF diet and have been on the hunt for recipes that still feel like a proper treat.

I came across a recipe for these GF chocolate cookies and they were SO good. I made two batches… and they’ve already all disappeared.

If anyone has any favourite gluten free recipes, send them my way - I’m looking for inspiration!
