Busy day today installing a new Baxi 816 heat only boiler for a local landlord at a property on Canvey Island.

Old potterton profile removed from the kitchen, heating pipes run through to the under stairs cupboard, new flue hole in, condensate pipe installed with outside air break and new gas pipe installed. Also installed a Magnaclean micro2 filter to catch any build up that the system might face down the line.

All neatly packaged in the cupboard giving the landlord and tenants 10 years peace of mind with the warranty.

Amongst having van trouble today, some jobs had to be cancelled but here are a couple I did manage to get to.

New sink and pull out tap installed in Stifford Clays this morning. Replaced discoloured plastic sink with stainless steel sink and new pullout tap.

Then removed a designer radiator for a customer so they can have their room plastered.

Last job, installed brass boiling water tap and waste with filter and boiler. And also finished the waste pipe on a job on Corringham Road for a builder.

Despite having a rough start and middle of the day I managed to get to 3 out of 5 jobs and only cost me a new van battery 😅.

It's been a long couple of days but I got this one in West Horndon over the line in just under 2 days and managed to fit...

It's been a long couple of days but I got this one in West Horndon over the line in just under 2 days and managed to fit in 5 call outs after hours too.

Downstairs shower enclosure and tiles removed, along with electric shower, removed boiler cupboard next door and ran new hot and cold through the wall in existing boxing low level. Pipes run and protected up to new position.

Installed these nice sized 1200 x 600 emerald green tiles, accompanied by gunmetal grey grout. All topped off with a brand new Kartell 900 quadrant enclosure which the customer decided on at 4.30pm yesterday.

Delivered first thing this morning by the great guys at Williams in Basildon.

Also installed a matching splashback tile above the basin.

A great transformation downstairs and an extra addition upstairs replacing a poorly fitted bath screen with a nice l shaped black check screen with a timber and cladding installed to bridge the gap the previous owner had left between wall and bath.

All came out looking lovely.

Today's job, removed old Santon Premier Unvented cylinder in Timber Court, Grays. Due to it being heavily scaled up, expansion vessel had gone and both pressure relief valves were dripping.

Brand new Joule Invacyl 180l cylinder installed. New cabling run to both heaters. New pipework and valves on the system to make for easier isolation and future maintenance.

Boiler repair completed today in Grays, I hadn't seen the boiler for a few years and last week visited to a broken diverter and serious distress from other parts on the boiler.

Today we replaced the return group with new 12l turbine. New flue manifold and seals and changed the diverter cartridge and power head.

Now the customer can have their hot water on without heating the radiators and rest assured their boiler is in the best condition.

Completed this Carron bath installation, with Grohe bath taps, Halite bath panel, new pop up waste and new integrated shelf bath screen in Stanford Le Hope today.

Wall panels were existing from previous install.

Today's jobs included a heating pipe repair on some old pipework where I replaced a boiler end of last week on Lampits Hill, Corringham, in a very awkward place under a worktop, but we got it done and all up and running. And also removed a blockage from a radiator valve.

I also replaced a towel radiator with a white designer at a property where I changed a bath earlier in the week on Branksome Avenue, Stanford Le Hope.

Busy day and a hot day.

Today's job was to fit custom ordered fascias and doors to these 30 year old vanity units. Previous ones had yellowed over the years, now the customer has a fresh modern look without replacing all the units.

Along with chrome d shape handles to complete the look.

Also fitted a new Rak 600 toilet with wrap over seat to complete the look.

Today's job, remove an old shower enclosure (with the world's heaviest shower screen 😅) and tray and replace with a new Carron L Shape bath, black hash bath screen and custom made Halite bath panels.

Halite panels are fully waterproof and 20mm thick so not flimsy like acrylic.

Combined with Grohe Bath Taps and pop up waste. I'm back Friday to replace the towel rail with a designer radiator.

The final look speaks for itself, ready for flooring to be replaced next week.
