When laying turf, preparation is 'always' key.
Ground rotivated, levelled and raked through before the arrival of turf.
This allows fresh turf to be laid straight away giving the best possible finish to your install. We install turf, shrubs and trees 'all year round'.

I was approached by by a client last week asking if we can still lay turf this time of the year. He thought it "was just a Summer thing".

I can see why he thought this. Most customers book in lawn installs in the summer.

But..

Autumn, with its moderate temperatures, presents an ideal window for turf laying.

During this season, the soil retains a balanced moisture level, essential for turf roots to firmly establish. Less intense sun means reduced watering, conserving both time and resources.

As grass naturally experiences growth spurts in autumn, turf laying aligns with this cycle, promoting optimal growth. Furthermore, the cooler temperatures reduce the prevalence of weeds and pests, minimizing competition.

In summary, autumn turf laying ensures a robust foundation for a lush lawn, all while being resource-efficient.
