If a jobs worth doing it’s worth doing right!

Re-grout and re-silicone in this en suite. Turns out the floor tiles were nearly all loose and a leaky shower cartridge dripping behind the tiles turned this job from a couple days into a week long job refitting tiles and more. But the customer was happy that I found the cause of the issues and shouldn’t have any more issues with grout or tiles or damp any more

Job this week! ->>> This customer had grout cracking away all over the bathroom floor. This is delamination of adhesive and tiles due to no/poor priming of the substrate. Lifting all loose tiles today to prime the heck out of the floor before refitting and regrouting. Probably stick a flexible admix into the adhesive as well to ensure maximum flexibility. Fixing a previous fitters old job. Lasted a good few years to be fair. But with tiles laid straight onto plywood with no primer caused the adhesive to dry too quick and turn back into powder. Most of the tiles lifted straight off after removing grout. Primed the floor a few times and re-laid. Fitted a new bath and shower overhead as well.
