Cool story.

We absolutely loved doing this small front fence. The posts have already been in 40 years but they are solid steel and heavily concreted in. The elderly neighbour of the couple told me many times 🤣 that when her husband (no longer with us) did something, he did it right. 💪🏻 She was not wrong. 👏🏻 I’m also hoping he “acquired” them back in the day. 🤣

I was very keen to make a new fence from the old one so gave them a great deal on it! We had to grind off all the old seized bolts, then drill out the holes slightly. It was also an oddball size too, so we used uc4 22mmx100mm 3.6m roof sarkin boards and cut every individual 1 to size, measuring as we went to compensate for the drop.

She was delighted to see it given a new lease of life, as were we. 🙌🏻

6 foot back fence completed in Cowie last week.

Old fence removed and disposed of.

We renewed the adjacent fence a few weeks back and as is becoming very common for us, as we take great pride in our work, we were asked back just a few weeks later to renew the opposite side. Doing great work has its advantages. 🤣

There was a LOT of concrete under the ground in here which took us an extra day to get past. No problem as we have ALL the tools. However these things add time. But no extra charge for the customer, you win some and you lose some but the price is the price for us.

Ps, we also got asked to replace the front fence as well when we were there. Cool story to follow.

Posts trimmed, treated and capped.

Holidays tomorrow, Saturday morning, raining, doesn’t matter, if you say you’re going to do something then do it, rules for a successful business and life for that matter.

Final one ticked off before our holidays next week, completed on time, as promised.

All earth removed off site, 2 bags of post crete in each UC4 100mm posts, shaped with a dry mix and painted with creosolve, posts all angle cut and painted with cut end preserver. This fence will last a very long time! Like all our gold standards!

That’s another Jack Russell, safe and secure from escaping, 3rd one in the last few weeks. 🤣

Front and side with gate ticked off today. (Just got the metal post caps to go on)

CAT (cable avoidance tool) saving the day today. 🤣 Doesn’t pick up the yellow plastic gas pipe however, so that was an experienced hand trowel dig. 🤦🏻‍♂️ At least the sun was shining. ☀️ ❤️
