I’m Karen and my husband is Leigh. He has recently set up his own business, fitting kitchens/bathrooms, building bespoke garden outbuildings, garage conversions, and installing decking. Leigh is available for work and offers free quotes.

We moved to Marple just over four years ago. We bought a tired and dated but potentially beautiful 1930’s detached house.
We moved in and spent some time deciding what we liked about the house and the things we wanted to change/improve.
We hired an architect and got some plans drawn up and we applied for planning permission. We also got ourselves a kind and helpful building regs guy.
Leigh is a qualified plumber and ex gas safe engineer, he has over 20 years’ experience in the building industry. We have spent the last four years buying and refurbishing houses and re-selling them along with our own home project in Marple.
We have had our fair share of ups and downs but now the project is very close to completion I can honestly say it has been worth it and we truly love the end results.
Occasionally there have been times we have had to get other trades people, but most of the work has been done by Leigh.
I can’t stress enough how important it was to have good and reliable trades people working with us. People actually turning up when they say they will and doing what they say they will do!
Thankfully we’ve been mostly lucky and truly blessed with them. I will share who they are later.
I am going to be sharing our journey with photos and brief descriptions of what was going on and hopefully showcase Leigh’s work and some of our beloved trade peoples work.
