Well, 2 months, 24 work days in and it's on the market. We had a few disagreements along the way but our marriage is still intact. Graham is amazing in the range of skills he has, the only person we paid to do anything was the carpet fitter. First viewing is on Monday 🤞

We did the finishing touches on Friday and handed the key to the estate agent. So excited for it to go on the market and see what interest it gets 😁

After removing the grey paint from the tiles, the fire surround has now been painted white. The hearth tiles will be carpeted. Should I grout the fireplace tiles with white, leave them as they are or paint over them?

It's a wrap. Day 20, our work is done, carpets arriving soon, bit of staging then it will be on the market. Sorry no pics till it's finished 😎

On the whole I have very much enjoyed this house renovation and I have overcome three fears... going above the second rung of the ladder, driving my husband's van and drinking out of a stained mug 😆😆😆

Day 13. All wallpapering done 😁

All plastering and filling done 😁

Day 7. Bath is in. One room wallpapered and ready to paint. Treated ourselves to a pint in the local 😃

Day six. Graham has been sorting the plumbing in the bathroom, putting a false ceiling in to cover up the strange window up there, I am continuing to prepare the walls for painting, but, the highlight of the day was getting a brand-new bathroom delivered for £150 😁😁😁

By the end of day two this is where we are up to:-half a large skip full of rubbish removed, bathroom, gas fires and carpets removed and made a start repairing damage to the walls caused by a builder who came in to quote for works to be done. We also met with estate and letting agents and found out how to top up the meters. Feeling excited for day three 😁
