Natural and beautiful.

A garden that gives a very welcoming look. We stripped out this garden to create a modern finish by adding a patio area with a very modest natural grey sandstone. The lawn was levelled and shaped using the different angles in the garden. It has a great effect.

It's great to see the planting element of this garden we built earlier in the year. It's a big part of a garden. Not only is it very natural but nature itself thrives from your garden. It's a magical thing seeing the birds and the bees and of course the lovely hedgehogs enjoying life 😁

Hello everyone 😁 I hope everyone has been having an excellent weekend! We have been a little quiet lately. A lot going on! I had three days off last month for my stag do. My amazing friends took me away to Prague. I didn't have a clue what was happening from hour to hour. It was such an amazing time. Truly lucky to have the friends I have. 30 years of friendship. A big shout out to my best man Lyall for organising the entire thing.

This is a project we carried out transforming the old space into a great space with some finer details that stand out.

Thank you everyone for all the love on previous post hitting a 10 year anniversary. I couldn't have done it without you all.

10 YEARS APART 🎉

10 years ago this month, I set up MJS Landscaping Ltd With nothing more than a van, rubbish magnetic signs that flung off in the car wash, and a dream.

Back then it was just me figuring things out as I went along, learning from mistakes and celebrating the small wins. Then I met my amazing Wife-to-be, and together we contributed even more energy and heart to MJS.

Fast forward to today and the business has grown. There’s now a team member by my side, and we’re a limited company. Along the way I’ve also took the chance to set up a second, sister company, MJS Fencing & Plant Hire -
building on what we’ve learned with MJS and bringing forward all that experience with it.
And of course, I now have my 2 mini Sim helpers who take great joy in getting muddy and having shots in the digger with daddy.

It’s been a journey full of lessons and challenges for sure, but there's moments that make all the hard work worth it.

Looking back, I’m proud of how far this company has come but I’m even more grateful for the experiences and the clients who trusted me with their garden.

To the young lad I was ten years ago: thank you for taking the leap and for never giving up!! 💪

Here’s to the next 10 years!

What a day it has been for MJS. Up at 6am ready to get going with the day planned ahead. The trailer is hooked up and the materials are loaded. A full load on board the trailer.

Off we go heading to Lumsden talking about what we are going to do first. Might be time for another coffee by the time we get there.

The next thing, about 5 miles from our job the van decides it doesn't want to work anymore. Maybe because I got the van up so early again 🤔

The van went into limp mode and wouldn't allow me to go any faster than 20mph. At one point 3mph was max. I can only apologise to anyone who saw me and was held up or was wondering why I was going so slow.

Thank you very much to a local business from Stonehaven Go-Far Car Recoveries & Transport LTD who came to our rescue. Not only did he get the van home but also the trailer too. I can't thank you enough for your help. 5 stars and without any hesitation 100% recommend.

Something a little different 😁 A garden design tailored to requirements. A stone circle was laid with a unique path. This was all hand crafted on-site. A beautiful Celtic slate was laid out with a Scottish pebble brought in for an extra finish.

A galvanised edging was used to form the curves around the perimeter. Sometimes it's just easier to hand dig rather than using machinery. We certainly earned a rest at the end of a shift.

Happy Friday everyone 😁

What a busy week it has been with a selection of projects ongoing.

Here we have a full garden renovation using some of the finest materials. A garden that had loads of potential dug out and rebuilt using the space as best to our advantage as possible.

A beautiful natural grey sandstone patio laid out in an off sequel pattern creating a modest and very welcoming look. The rest does the talking for itself.

A landscaped garden for the family to enjoy.

Happy Sunday everyone! That's us into March already, what a start to the year!

We are almost there with our Stonehaven project. Here is an update of progress. We are waiting for some decent weather so we can complete the work for the new lawn to go down.
