Wonderful sunshine for most of us - and lots of growth in our gardens. Wonderful blue anenome, white flower clusters on the skimmia, great foliage on the soboria sem (flowers in the summer) and a profusion of while blooms on the clematis armandii. Plus top tips from the RHS for April (protecting vulerble plants from overnight frost is particularly important!)

After a long winter hiatus I have finally sorted out a few photos to celebrate the start of the spring! Rainbow chard in our polytunnel at the children's nursery has been doing great throughout the winter. In my own garden, winter flowering honeysuckle and clematis have been doing well for the last couple of months too. The daffodils and primula are more recent flowers to open. Although spring might be here frosts are still likely later this week and are possible for much of the UK well into April.
