Pink Shed Flowers

Pink Shed Flowers Grower and seller of cut flowers and plants. I will be at various farmers markets throughout the Midlands. Plants can be delivered by post.

I will be selling lovely plants for you to fill your gardens with. There will be a variety of bedding, annuals, vegetable plants, herbs, biennials and perennials for sale. In addition to this I will be selling sweet smelling bouquets but not your usual bouquets, oh no! My bouquets will be full of seasonal flowers – think cottage garden in a bouquet and you are almost there! One of the nice things

about buying from me is that I will be less expensive than your garden centre and you will know that your plants and/or bouquets won’t have travelled far, so it is eco-friendly too. In addition, lots of flowers that I intend to sell are adored by bees and butterflies, who are having a bit of a tough time at the moment, so you will be doing your bit to help their declining population. I will also be selling seeds if you fancy having a go at growing things from scratch (and this is something I would recommend – you get a warm glow watching something flourish into a beautiful flower from a woody coloured seed. But beware; the sense of despair at slug/snail eaten seedlings is devastating, so protect young plants well). The backgarden is being jazzed up and the lawn removed, so I can grow the plants and flowers with lots of love and the care they need. My partner’s parents have kindly donated some of their garden too, so I can grow a good variety (and don’t worry they live a mile or two down the road, so it is still eco-friendly).

General information

My name is Rachel and I’m a plant-a-holic. I have a serious addiction. Gardening has always been in my subconscious; my Nan and Granddad, and Mom and Dad have always kept beautiful gardens. Some of my earliest memories are of me volunteering to be chief taste tester of the strawberries my Granddad grew in his greenhouse. And my late Great Nanny Marge was well known for her love of gardening and I like to think that part of her lives on in me. My subconscious was awoken when our overgrown back garden-come-jungle was overhauled and fancy paving and borders installed. The bare borders needing filling and I began cramming every available space with plants and bulbs. And when there was no more space, I turned to pots. I stopped counting the number of pots I had when I reached fifty. It was denial. I knew that it I continued counting then there would be a reason not to buy any more pots, and then where would the plants I so desperately needed go? So you see, I really do love plants, although to be fair the addiction was inevitable, it was clearly in my genes! But alas space has defeated me and there really is no more space for any more pots but I just can’t give up growing plants. And so, Pink Shed Flowers has been born! I hope you come and visit Pink Shed Flowers. I look forward to seeing you and watching your addiction grow! PS. For those interested, the inspiration for the name is from the pink shed I have at my allotment, where I grow lots of scrumptious vegetables and fruits. NB: my partner is called Matt. He does not love plants but loves all ball related sport. He does not understand my addiction to plants but nor do I understand his obsession with ball related sports!
