So this afternoon saw a return to action for the first time this year. And it was a 16ft Stage Ladder!! (Part of the set for an upcoming performance of ‘Kiss me Kate’ by Weston Operatic Society) these aren’t going to be necessarily weight bearing but I’ve sunk the rungs into the uprights and screwed & glued into place. Next I’ll be working on the off the wall stanchions that will hold this ‘two parter’ in position. (Oh, and beard and hair will be getting a trim next week so I’ll hopefully stop looking so grizzly! Lol)

So as the young ones go back to school and the need for space in the garden decreases it looks like it's time to begin to bear again!! I have a couple of requests already in the mix so will be getting them sorted soon enough. With changes in both mine and Amiee's work now settling down and holidays having been complete, tools will be prepped and materials are being sourced but as of this moment in time I think I have enough now to get 'cracking'!!! lol so see you soon.

After trawling the internet for those wonderful ideas that are out there for so many different projects, I've decided on a purpose for the DIY Bear to move forward. "I'm gonna test 'em!" I'm gonna hunt down these so called "so simple" ideas and see just how simple they are and I'm gonna put them to the test to see if they can be done by the minimal of tools or the full Santa's workshop suite of tools these 'DIY'ers' often have. So continuing with work on the bath shelves/caddies I've come up with 5 simple features that can be easily created to add functionality for the end user. You will generally get two different users of the bath shelf/caddy (BS). The direct user or the accompaniment user. The Direct User; The direct users are those who bathe to relax, wash and soak yet can't release themselves from their techno lives or their connection from the outside world. [ 459 more words ]

So it's been a while since the last update but it's been non-stop in the 'bear shop'. So the first project was a lovely small project where I was able to create this beautiful sweeping, simple design. It allows to create an attractive centrepiece for any romantic meal setting. Second was the adaption of a key hook, to make this welcoming Chalkboard, key hook, and sunglasses holder. All completed in a rustic beach hut style.
