Spent a peedie while in the greenhouse this afternoon, delighted with the courgettes and poppy’s…. Less so with the slugs and slater’s but overall everything’s looking great!

Been a hectic few days with people being poorly 🤧 people having birthdays and requiring cake 👩🏻‍🍳 and life in general but managed a few hours in the greenhouse today. Gutted to see the slaters are taking advantage and enjoying our courgette flowers but it’s game on… 💪🏻 where there’s a will there’s a way.

It’s been a beautiful day despite tackling the nettles and the vine weevil. Got lots done and made the most of the sunshine.

It’s been a day of it with the slugs and snails 🤬😡 but all things considered the greenhouse is looking good. Lots of germination, growth and flowers! So nice being out when it’s a bit milder, a bit more sunshine would be great tho ☀️

The weathers been all over the shop but still managed to get a few bits done this morning :)

Had a productive few hours this morning, finally starting to see some progress but could do with a few more days of sunshine 🙏🏻.

Here’s a few little updates from the last few days at grobust, the temperatures have dropped and progress has been slow but we are still optimistic! Some more sunshine would be ideal and some growth on the tomato’s would be great but we will keep pushing on.

Yesterday we had the devastating news that Dale had passed away. She was the most special and beautiful cat who unexpectedly came into our lives and stayed for the longest time, she was the oldest cat at Grobust. She’s been a constant through many of the rough days in the last 5 years and was particularly loved by Jamie. We will be forever greatful to the incredibly kind person who took her to the vets and showed genuine compassion in her last bit of time, without her we may have never known what happened. We will lay her to rest up by the greenhouse, her favourite spot where she drove Kirsten mad on a daily basis with her inappropriate choice of beds. Goodbye Dale 💔😻

Lighter nights mean later working at grobust, last night we could have done with an hour more daylight but how beautiful it is at dusk, with the faint sound of waves crashing at skail

Suns out which allowed a productive few hours in the garden followed by a sea swim to cool of👌🏻
