Pow! Pondlife! πŸŒΈπŸΈπŸ’¦

πŸŒ„ This morning I've been doing a bit of maintenance on a wildlife pond I installed back in March. At that point it was bitter cold outside and (although I try very hard to appreciate all weathers) miserable. Installing ponds is for me one of the most enjoyable jobs I have the opportunity to do. The creation of a habitat so incredibly rich in biodiversity - both above and below the surface - makes it incredibly rewarding, especially on a day like today when you can revisit it in the sunshine.

πŸ› Shout out to the pond skaters! They seem to arrive as if by magic to every pond, and pioneer life in these precious garden habitats.

🌺 In the same garden there is a small bucket pond planted with one striking water lily (Nymphaea Xiafei). Just an amazing flower that I thought you should see.

P.S, I will try to get some better pictures of the thousands of damselflies and the HUGE broad bodied chaser dragonflies that now inhabit this patch. They're just a bit quick for me! πŸ˜‚

It's wheelie amazing (my scincerest apologies)!

πŸ‘£ I'm sure we are all aware of the negative impact that our motor vehicles are having on the environment, right? So in order to do my own little bit to keep the air clean, all local maintanence jobs (unless you need a mower - that did not work well) will now be done utilising this zero emmisions, sweet ride! 😁

What a life!

🌞Some areas of this garden seem to be relatvely unaffected by almost a month without rain. Others parts are still utilising the water from the water butts, but they are starting to get a little low now!

πŸ’§We have to constantly rethink our practices when it comes to water managment and security in clients gardens. It is important that we always do the utmost to secure as much of the planets most precious resouce as possible for the spaces we look after.
