Whenever I do this garden i never know what to expect, a bit like the lady who owns it . She won't mind me saying , shes quirky, artistic and often sees things in a project no one else sees , but it works , certainly for her . Never fails to impress me and often come away with ideas . That bank is a damn site steeper than the photos suggest , a lot of crawling involved here . But I love a challenge 😁

I started with a new client yesterday who's garden has slightly overwhelmed her. It's a lovely garden packed with all sorts of beautiful plants and its going to be a pleasure to bring it back to life . I focused on one of two beds of roses that needed a tidy . I pruned, cleared the fallen leaves and fed the roses.

What fantastic weather we are having ! Plants are bursting into bud , there's plenty of spring colour , ladybirds, butterfly and bees are busy and it goes without saying, a Robin in each of the three gardens I worked on yesterday . My 1st garden in the morning was a small, but packed with plants wrap around garden . ( pictured) The pond was alive with frogs , frog spawn and newts . I cut the grass and tidied the beds . In the second garden (pictured) i planted out some new plants and built a rustic obelisk and planted and tied in perennial sweet peas. The third garden i worked on the patio , clearing pots , topped some up with compost , pruned hydrangea and made another obelisk for perennial sweetpeas. A really productive day 🌻

I meant to post this over the weekend, but time just flew by in the garden. On Friday I met my friend Kerry Read at Willow tree farm, Glemsford. Kerry is starting a business called Broom and Bloom offering similar services to myself. We talked all things garden over a cup of tea then we popped into see Greg Veness at his nursery The Front Gardeners. I got the honour of a tour of the polytunnels where there are all sorts of seeds and plants growing , it really enthused me to get sewing too over the weekend. Greg's nursery is full of tempting perennials that are are grown either in the unheated polytunnel or outside so they are ready for planting in you gardens now !! As you can see there's a lot of choice and something for everyone , well worth a visit

Spring is definitely in the air !! Worked on two gardens yesterday in the sunshine. This is one of my favourites , it's usually peaceful, but yesterday the crows were in full voice. I weeded and cut back a front bed and cleared the front drive of moss , the owner spent time pruning the fruit trees on the other side of the drive . Between us in a few hours we made quite an impact. Plenty of spring plants making an appearance, the Daphne smelt wonderful and as usual the views across the field at the back were breath-taking

Not bad weather today . My 1st client wanted large thistle and Ragwort removed from lawn , we plan to work on lawn when the season is right . I then went on to clear the boundary between them and their neighbours and clear the two front beds of weeds . The beds are planted with hydrangea, too early to deadhead and I was pleased to see some sleepy ladybirds amongst the branches , I hope they survive the next week of cold weather 🐞

No two days were the same weather wise this week . On Monday morning I worked in Little Waldingfield (pictured) Weeded, cut back and mulched the beds in the wind and drizzle . Tuesday was wet and freezing as I worked in Halstead clearing two overgrown neighbouring gardens . Wednesday was beautiful, sunny and mild . I spent the morning repotting shrubs and plants for a client and in the afternoon I cleared a plot of brambles for another client, it was positively warm !! Thursday and Friday it poured but thankfully I was home based painting garden furniture, making a wooden obelisk and sewing more seeds 🌻
