Two autos fitted in an over 55s ( no I’m not moving in) assisted living scheme in Newcastle. The two ladies are now able to have their independence, without having to drag open a heavy fire door.

Sunderland Strollers Running Club are having their annual charity runs in December and are looking for more t-shirt sponsors for the Doorstep Events on 1 Dec. If your business, someone in your families business, someone you know, even a passing stranger wants their business name on the back of around 150 shirts for the bargain price of £120, which will be seen out and about in Sunderland then all they need to do is contact Harry Harrison and he'll let you know all the details. Every sponsor increases the amount we’re able to donate to our 5 fab charities.

I was asked to attend a repair on an auto door in a social housing property recently. It was clearly the first time it’s been serviced as had no safety sensors, signage or fingerguards. These are all essential requirements for a powered door for the safety of the resident (this particular gentleman is disabled), and other family members and visitors. It is possible for a child to place their finger in the door jamb on the hinge side and with no safety on board, the danger of crushing is high!
It is essential to get an auto door regularly serviced, not just for engineers to make money, but for your peace of mind!

This is the door now to standard.

Another auto door completed this morning for a lady with limited mobility. Making her life a lot easier. This one has keypad access as well as a fob, to enable carers to enter the flat.

Fob activated auto door, with a motorised locking system. You can hear the claws pull in before the door opens.
This is the most secure way of locking an auto door for a domestic property. It is multipoint, like a traditional locking door.
