My name is Paul Vaughan and I've been a professional gardener for over 15 years now, before that I was a Landscape Gardener for 10 years. I take pride in the standard of my work and great pleasure in creating beautiful gardens. I used to design and build ponds and rockeries which I immensely enjoyed. I also spent some time working quite closely with one of my brothers doing irrigation and installi

ng sprinkler systems in gardens and golf courses too. I come from a building background, where I used to carry out all aspects of building including carpentry, bricklaying and plastering which I still practice and carry out work for today. Many, many moons ago I was a welder and sheet metal worker, where I used to make guards for machinery so making things has been in my blood for a loooong time.

What’s the best feed for potatoes?
Any fertiliser high in potash. I have used superphosphate topped with a light sprinkling of wood ash early in summer. Or if you have not manured yet, add 175g of Growmore.
