RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden is coming to Swansea 🌙🦇

A national-level garden is getting a permanent home in Clydach:

🌿 Clydach Community Gardens will become the permanent home of an RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden
🦇 The Bat Conservation Trust Nocturnal Garden is designed specially for bats & biodiversity
🌸 It will appear at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, May 2026
🏆 First ever bat-focused garden at an RHS flower show
🎨 Designed by Melanie Hick and funded by Project Giving Back
🗿 Features a large bat sculpture, black reflective pool and wing-inspired planters
🐛 Planting designed to attract moths & insects, which bats feed on
🌳 Sustainable timber fencing will be turned into bat boxes after the show
📍 After Chelsea, the whole garden will be relocated to Clydach, Swansea
📅 Expected to open in its permanent Swansea home in autumn 2026
🏫 Will be used for schools, community groups & wildlife education
📥 A bat-friendly plant list will be shared so people can copy it at home
🦇 Four of the UK’s 11 endangered mammals are bat species

We’ll be spending the day exploring the show gardens, soaking up inspiration, and admiring the incredible creativity and craftsmanship that goes into every single design. From bold planting schemes to clever hard landscaping ideas, Chelsea is the ultimate place to see what’s blooming in the world of horticulture.

We’ll be filming some of our visit to share on here too—so keep an eye out if you fancy a sneak peek at the highlights.

Can’t wait to see what trends and ideas are taking root this year. Whether it’s naturalistic planting, formal symmetry, or wild garden wonderlands—we’ll be bringing back ideas we can’t wait to use in our own designs.
