Care about the environment and supporting your local community? 🌎 ♻️

So do we. ♥️

We’re proud to have partnered with the artist currently creating a mural at the Llanelli Deaf Centre, donating our leftover paint from projects where clients have changed their minds on colours. Rather than letting perfectly usable paint go to waste, it’s being put to great use in a community project. We can’t wait to see the finished mural and share some photos with you.

We’re also taking steps to reduce waste in our day-to-day operations. All of our empty paint tins are now being diverted from landfill and taken to our local decorating centre, where they are cleaned and sent off for recycling.

Just this week, we dropped off seven empty 10-litre paint buckets. No hassle, no fuss just another batch being repurposed instead of thrown away.

These are just some of the ways we’re working to make a positive impact on both our community and the environment, one project at a time. 🌱🎨♻️

Newish Van Day! 🚐

What a stressful month it’s been! 😣

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had to limit the amount of work we could take on, reduce viewings, and leave the house extra early most mornings just to make sure we arrived on time.

Despite the challenges, we still turned up for our clients, relying on a mixture of taxis, buses, and the occasional lift to get us where we needed to be.

Thankfully, we’ve finally taken delivery of our newish van! Even better, it’s ours outright and fully paid for, which gives us real peace of mind moving forward.

I’d also like to say a huge thank you to all of our clients for their patience and understanding during this period. If you’ve been waiting for a quote, please feel free to get back in touch as we’re now back up and running as normal.

A special thank you goes to one of our clients in Sketty, who very kindly offered to insure me on their own car and was incredibly generous and persistent with their offer. Your kindness and support meant a lot, and it’s something I won’t forget.

Full house completed inside and out in just 3 days.

Day 1: Sprayed mist coat, filled and sanded all woodwork
Day 2: Sprayed second coat to walls and ceilings
Day 3: Sprayed first and second coats to woodwork

Just goes to show our capabilities 😊

For this project we used:

GoodHome Tough & Durable White on the walls and ceilings
Tikurilla Helmi 10 on the woodwork

You asked… we listened. 👂

Over the last few months, a number of clients have asked whether we’d offer floor sanding services after discovering beautiful parquet flooring or original floorboards hidden beneath old carpets that needed bringing back to life.

Rather than guessing our way through it or relying on YouTube tutorials, we headed to the Bona training course in Milton Keynes to learn the correct techniques and professional process from the experts.

It was a full-on but incredibly interesting day and I was actually the only person who turned up for the course 😁

We’ll be rolling out floor sanding services within the next month. While we perfect the process and build momentum, we’ll also be launching an introductory offer beating any genuine quote by a minimum of 20%.

We already offer:
• Worktop sanding & sealing
• Door stripping & sealing
• Handrail & bannister restoration

Just the front and side of this property completed all carried out the correct way using Emperor Paint products. 😊

We started the project with a full soft wash clean-down, followed by a careful application of Emperor Fungicidal Wash, an important stage that helps kill mould and algae before any painting begins.

After that, all surfaces were properly filled and primed.

To complete the job, we applied two full coats of Emperor Masonry Paint in the colour “Off White”

This project took around 3 days to complete, but that’s what it takes to do the job properly. Preparation, treatment, drying times, and applying two solid coats all matter.

It honestly baffles me how some painters claim they can complete an entire house in a single day and still do it correctly. 🤥🤥

We’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, but that’s only because we’ve been fully focused on the projects behind the scenes.

Now, with two jobs nearing completion, we’re excited to finally share the finished results.

This one in particular has taken a serious amount of work, and we’re proud of how it’s coming together.

Taking a short break from it to get a few days of outdoor work done, then it’s straight back for the final push.

Wow, what a beautiful home, now fully protected with Emperor Paint. 😌

This project definitely tested us, with constant battles against the weather, but the end result made it all worthwhile and the client was over the moon.

When it comes to Emperor paints, the application process has to be followed precisely. It’s a specialist system, and we’re proud to be among the few decorators who truly understand the product inside out, something we confidently recommend to our clients.

It’s not your standard masonry paint, coming in at three to four times the cost, with materials alone on this project reaching close to £1,000.

But it’s backed by a lifetime guarantee, and from our experience over the years (including on our own properties), it genuinely stands the test of time.

The coating is hydrophobic, helping repel water, and even contributes to heat retention, making it as functional as it is durable. (check the last picture to see the water repel) 💧

For this project, after all the essential prep work, we applied:
• Two coats of Emperor Masonry Paint in Heritage White
• The lower DMP finished in Green Mist
• Black detailing to complete the look

As you may be aware, there is currently a significant fuel shortage, and prices have risen sharply.

To help manage costs and keep our pricing as competitive as possible, we’ve made the decision to limit face-to-face appointments for quotations.

We understand this isn’t ideal, but reducing travel time allows us to focus more on delivering our services while avoiding additional expenses, especially for locations outside of our usual working area.

With that in mind, we kindly ask that when making an enquiry, you provide clear photos of the work required.

For external jobs, please also include the full address so we can review the property using Google Maps.

And additionally, be prepared to answer further questions 😃

This approach will help us assess your project more efficiently and continue offering fair pricing.

Good evening everyone, 👋

Just a quick update, I’m absolutely blown away by the response over the past week! 

I’m busier than ever, so if you’re thinking about getting a quote (or even just a rough idea of what your project might cost), please get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

I always work on a no-pressure basis, but I do have a couple of important rules when it comes to quotes:

• I only offer one appointment for a pricing visit. If it’s missed without a reasonable explanation, I won’t be able to rearrange, my diary simply fills too quickly to keep chasing and risk another missed appointment.

• Please make sure you’re available at the agreed time so I can keep everything running smoothly for all clients.

Availability is already limited for February and March.

I’m out visiting jobs regularly and often nearby, so in many cases I can pop by within the same week or the following one.
