This absolutely beautiful dressing table is now looking for a forever home.

This originally belonged to my husbands Grandfather who sadly passed last year..

The family gave me this to see if I could do something amazing with it.. it was well loved, the clips around the mirror had all broken and the varnish had worn away due to many Grandchildren playing on the top of it.. My husband remembers it from when he visited as a child and my eldest son certainly had great fun playing dinosaurs on it during many visits to the family home on the Isle of Wight..

I've been torn with emotion throughout this upcycle but sadly we dont have room for it and the family have no use for it..

It was an honour to be gifted with such a sentimental piece and being trusted to make sure that it is still used and loved for many years to come..

It's painted in Frenchic Blackjack with gold handles..

The top, sides and all the drawers have been decoupage with my current favour paper..

New clips have been added to the swing top mirror.

The whole piece has been varnished for extra protection..

So sad to see this go, but hoping that someone will love it just as much as we have.

This has to be my most challenging piece to date..

3 days of sanding to remove 3 layers of white gloss and a top coat of 1980's brown varnish..

Extensively upcycled using Frenchic After Midnight paint, new gold handles, an oriental print to the doors and gold gilding wax to the embossed pattern, hinges and braces inside..

I've also had a new key made for it after weeks of searching online.. Thankyou to the lovely cobbler I finally found in Ammanford..

I love a challenge.. 3days of sanding to remove 3 layers of white gloss and a layer of 1980's brown varnish..

I've decided to change the way I do things.. Using a different brand paint, bolder colours and venturing in the Wallpapering zone..

Im super proud of this beauty.. Painted in Frenchic After Midnight with a gold guilding wax to the front detail.. Doors papered with an oriental blue and gold paper..

As soon as I can source a key, it will available for £85 ❤

Due to a long unwanted break due to Covid and numerous restrictions, I'm back doing what I love..

This is a magnificent beast !!

Painted in Frenchic Cool Beans with ceramic black detailed k***s and matching black feet, this piece is gorgeous for any lounge or bedroom.. Natural sanded back pine top, lovingly coated and polished with pure beeswax.

Measuring in at a whopping :

Height 26"
Width 55"
Depth 17"

The wood has a few minor dents, but believe me, this does not affect the piece at all..
